What Can You See at Coral Castle?

Coral Castle’s outdoor sculptures and structures include a massive rotating gate and a self-portrait made from stone materials. Leedskalnin quarried, cut and carved more than 1,100 tons of coral rock without modern machinery.

Just beyond the front entrance, a triangular gate weighing three tons can rotate 360 degrees in either direction. The grounds also include a self-portrait of Leedskalnin, made from coral rock, stone and seashells and located outside the tool room.

Among the exhibits are a 1923 admission sign from the original Rock Gate site in Florida City, advertising admission for 10 cents, and Leedskalnin’s handmade water-basin shaving mirror, which reflects an image without glass.
